The official race numbers for teams that will be used in the maiden GEN4 season, which is still scheduled to begin this December at the Jeddah E-Prix, but is now highly likely to start at Mexico City in January have been confirmed by the FIA.
Competitors were sent details earlier this week on the numbers chosen by teams, but there appears to be little clue on four of the five unconfirmed drivers still aiting official announcement by some teams.
Stoffel Vandoorne is expected to be confirmed alongside Antonio Felix da Costa at Jaguar TCS Racing soon, with the 2022 champion set to race with the number 5 alongside Antonio Felix da Costa who will continue for a second season with the Big Cat.
Lola meanwhile is expected to announce Robert Shwartzman as one of its drivers early next month after FEN broke news of his likely signing earlier this month, with the 2025 Indy 500 polesitter potentially using the number 11. But the identity of his teammate is not known, with Enzo Fittipaldi becoming a favourite after a recent test with the British manufacturer, although two other possibilities were thought to be possible as of last week.

The new Fusion Formula E Team has ringfenced race numbers 6 and 66 for its two Porsche GEN4 cars. The 6 has been used in several seasons by the Dragon team before but is not believed to be linked to a specific driver.
The 66 number was used by Daniel Abt in his five season stint in Formula E, but again is only believed to be linked to the team’s specific choice rather than any link to a particular driver.
