Formula E Notebook (FEN) is delivered by Sniffer Media Ltd, a specialist motorsport communications and editorial company founded in 2012 by industry-recognised journalist and media specialist Sam Smith. Sniffer Media combines decades of experience in motorsport press, communications and storytelling to bring authoritative, insight-driven coverage of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship directly from the paddock.
Formula E Notebook
Launched in November 2023, Formula E Notebook was created by Sam Smith and Alice Holloway to offer a deeper layer of analysis, context and intelligence from the heart of the Formula E paddock — beyond the usual race reports. FEN has been shaped to serve teams, manufacturers, partners, media professionals and informed fans alike with informed, behind-the-scenes insight into the sporting, technical, commercial and political landscape of the championship.
FEN combines editorial depth with a strong visual and social media presence, and its content ranges from race-weekend paddock briefings to technical explainers and industry commentary, maintaining a tone that is informally informative and grounded in direct experience.
