It has been conceived, developed and unveiled by Sniffer Media Ltd, a motorsport communications agency founded by experienced media specialist Sam Smith, who has written the definitive book on Formula E and appeared in several documentaries about the world’s only all-electric World Championship.

Smith has also attended the vast majority of E-Prixs and has broken many of the series’ major stories over the last 12 years.

Racers Voice will have a large footprint in the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship paddock, but will also feature personalities from other world championships, including the worlds of Formula One and the FIA World Endurance Championship in particular. It has a clear ambition of growing in to many other areas of motorsport in 2027.

The presenting team for Racers Voice will include former Autosport editor and founder of The Race Media group, Andrew van de Burgt; the Chief Content Officer for The Fully Charged Show and Everything Electric – Imogen Bhogal;  and 2016-17 Formula E champion and one of Formula E’s most successful and recognised drivers, Lucas di Grassi.

The production heart of Racers Voice will come from Formula E paddock regular Alice Holloway, who brings year of experience in motorsport and the world of cricket. Alice will also occasionally appear on podcasts and social media shorts.

The SuperHuman graphic agency, founded by Russell Horton, will be its graphic design supplier. The company has worked with Honda Racing, Bridgestone, McLaren and Racers Voice’s sister publication Formula E Notebook.

The first collection of podcast guests comprises Formula E’s most winning driver and new Opel GSE Formula E Team driver, Mitch Evans; Senior Advisor for Andretti Formula E Team and the TWG Group, Roger Griffiths; Cadillac WEC driver, Alex Lynn; and Formula E TV analyst, Albert Lau.

The podcast will predominantly be shot in Racers Voice’s London studio, while on-site race broadcasts are also planned for 2027. Preview and Review episodes will be a staple feature of Racers Voice with team principals, drivers, engineers and championship movers and shakers being integral to the insight.

Racers Voice has already secured seed funding for the initiative and is currently talking to a variety of investors and partners for content coverage and bespoke episodes for the 2027 racing season.

Commenting on the launch of Racers Voice, founder Sam Smith said that the formation of Racers Voice catered for a platform that he believes has left a tantalising gap in the broadcast market.

“Racers Voice is a simple concept but one with a progressive and ambitious ethos,” said the former Formula E writer for The Race, Motorsport.com and E-racing365.

“We want to get to the heart of the news agenda but go right behind the curtain and under the surface to tell viewers and listeners what is really going on.

“As a journalist in several professional motorsport series in the past it’s always been my clear objective to both inform and reveal the true picture, sportingly, politically, and technically.”

“We believe that an initial focus on Formula E makes great sense because of the depth of our  networks and contacts. But we will be covering several other newsworthy areas of international motorsport once established.”
